New grants worth asking about
These changed on 6 October 2026:
Boiler scrappage
Extra €2,000 when you swap oil, gas, electric storage or solid fuel heating for a heat pump
Up to €14,500
Total heat pump support for a house
Solar and battery
Solar grant now open to homes built before 2025, plus a new €600 battery grant
Up to €9,000
With qualifying welfare payments. Up to €2,400 for most homeowners.
What to bring
You don't need anything to come and chat. But if you'd like specific answers on the day, these help:
- The year your home was built. It decides which grants you can get.
- Your BER certificate, if you have one
- A recent electricity bill and a rough idea of your heating costs
- Photos of your boiler, attic and roof
