Churchfield offers a truly expert service and have the necessary trained and certified staff that several other competing businesses obviously lacked.
They installed a new Gas Boiler, Solar Panel and three circuit central heating system for us, cleanly and efficiently installed, impressing ourselves, but more importantly impressing the SEAI Inspector too!
We since had two minor glitches caused by supplier manufacturers rather than the Churchfield installation.
These minor faults were immediately and courteously corrected by Churchfield at no additional cost, that process personally overseen to a successful conclusion by Caroline of Churchfield.
Accordingly we can unequivocally recommend their highly professional service, especially as it was also highly competitively priced.read more

they advertise a lot of services on their website that they don't provide. Like internal wall or cavity insulation for example. Should update the website to reflect the actual services they provide. Felt little uninterested in more complicated case as well like if they cant do all walls they just rejected as unsuitable for them. I called twice today and twice they said they don't do internal insulation and it is advertised on the website.read more

They installed (among other things) a new boiler 2 years ago. When my rads weren't working last Nov, I got a plumber out who was disgusted (his words) by how the system was installed. He said 'whoever did this should be shot'. Well, as Churchfield guarantee their work (at least that's what it says on a bit of paper) I got in touch. That was November. It is now well into January and.... I've been left waiting 3 times, (having taken time off work each time). They are uncommunicative and unreliable and the level of customer care is appalling. They have now fobbed me off altogether on another company without any notice, no one even bothered to let me know they had cancelled this appointment after I made it a month ago and again took time off. Avoid this company, go with someone who will look after their customers. My system is still leaking nearly 2 months later.read more

A first visit. Tremendous work on restoring & preserving this iconic building. Enthralled by the exhibition spaces, imaginatively set out, throughout the different floors. Booked a new boiler and on the day they were due to install they rang to tell me the booking date was now another month. I was told I would get a call back last week for clarification but still waiting and I was told that I would get a call from the first service agent 2 days ago when he was back in the office but still no contact. No compensation offered and no heat in the last month and now not for another month. Was told I could get a refund of deposit but that would mean I would be waiting longer to get a new boiler.
Edit: I would like to add, as the respondent has not looked into my complaint before addressing my review, that I was not told, as stated, that the date would not be held, nor was it on the documents I received. It was also not stated when I requested if any additional information was needed, due to my emails not being responded to. I was not stated either when I rang and paid the deposit that the date would be changed and I have still had no contact regarding it. I have however received an email looked for the grant offer from SEAI. Priorities seem to be more about getting the money rather than solving the issue.
Further to this I logged a complaint on the 24th of October and was told I would be contacted within 48 hours. Still to receive any contact on the 6th of November. The heating was due to be replaced 2 weeks ago, after waiting a month without heat. Now won't be done for another 2 weeks. So 2 months without heating.
You'll forgive me if I don't believe that everything possible is being done to rectify this.read more

Wouldn’t recommend. The workmanship itself is relatively fine but Churchfield’s project managers and staff have woeful communication and little follow up on issues. Their invoicing conditions mean you pay for all the work before it’s completed too, so I’ve just been left with holes in my wall, cracked window frames etc and no communication as to when it’s going to be fixed.read more

Highly recommend Churchfield for home insulation and energy upgrades. We had a whole suite of works done including external insulation, a new boiler and the fitting of solar panels. From start to finish, Churchfield were very helpful and professional. Commuincation was very good. No question was left unanswered and they even guided us through the grant application, making it very easy. The lads on site were great as well. Very friendly and polite and sure to get our input on all the little things that made the finish just right for us. The finished job is excellent and the place was left spotless too. This is all despite the difficulties of Covid.
The project manager, David Gallagher was brilliant. Patient, helpful, and friendly, David was always very approachable and willing to go the extra mile to help. We were kept informed every step of the way with David being on site often to make sure that we were always happy with everything. If you have David as your project manager, you can rest easy that you will be in good hands.
All in all, we are delighted with the job and the house looks brand new!read more

We have had Churchfield heating & insulation at our house.
Unfortunately the boiler they suggested-Viessmann to replace our beast of 22 yrs isn’t compatible to a copper coil tank-Hence our hot water won’t heat up.
Externally our doorbell,security light & outside plugs still don’t work,nearly a month on,but more upsetting is that the bottom elevation of front is beyond crooked. It’s been snagged since the work completed & still neighbours pointing it out to us.
Churchfield always prompt to execute payment by us,which we did,but realistically isn’t this why the time lapses so quickly. All paid, yet job unfinished.
Our initial points of contact were so lovely,we had a rec for this company from our neighbours the Wade’s
So frustrating now-
Lots of deliveries missed-no doorbell
Scary scary at night-no security light.
Plus.
Bottom 4” of rear plinth bare
Deck cut up around these areas by CF & the insulation not down to the ground level as it is at front & side.
Ranting now & that’s not what I wanted.
I just want my house done properly.
I want to be able to recommend CF
But now,as things stand-I am really frustrated.read more

Introduced to Churchfield through the SEAI government scheme. They immediately assigned 4 surveyors for all the different jobs. Took a while to start but then it was like a whirlwind through my house. It was like 60 minute makeover multiplied by 100. The amount of work those guys got through was totally stunning. Each team was checked at every step. So much work. I was amazed. A complete wonder. I had the Romanians outside insulation guys that work from 7.30 till it gets dark. Sat Sunday & even St Patrick’s day. 15 minutes lunch break that they had outside. Miracle workers. Claudio rules. Lithuanians in the attic. They do 3 houses a day. Irish guys put in the central heating. OMG. All floor boards & 40 year old carpet up.. worked quickly & Project co-ordinator in the middle of it. Then the electrician..all go. Lastly outside doors & a bit of a hitch. Back door wouldn’t fit because all the walls finished. Then the locks won’t work. Extremely heavy doors. Front ones fit well but a bit of finishing off to do. I was up till midnight trying yet again to dust & Hoover but after all the work I’m not surprised.
All in all Churchfield really are a superior company. Incredibly organised & fabulous workers.read more

Churchfield Home Services did a major upgrade on our home heating system in Dublin recently. They installed a new high-efficiency gas boiler, 3-zone heating controls, a new hot water cylinder (with a filter) and replaced most of the radiators as well as installing a totally new one in the en-suite. They did a superb job and also facilitated the completion of documentation to secure the SEAI grant of €750. I would recommend them highly.read more

We just had Alex and his team insulate our house in Ballina. Can't praise them enough. Excellent workers, very pleasant group of guys, extremely polite. Arrived every morning before 8 and worked until at least 8 each evening. I have a dog and they would pop in to let us know when it was ok to let him out and would always ensure the gate was closed for him. What a wonderful team. Kevin rang me every week to make sure we were happy. The work was extremely efficient and tidy. Highly recommend this company.read more

We got a new heating system installed by churchfield and attic insulation . We were happy with the work done for the insulation part but extremely disappointed with the plumbing work . Very poor finish and rough work . In the living room the pipes were angled to facilitate the work but it looks really bad ! In the bathroom the towel rads were first seated on the floor . We asked to get them installed higher on the wall , the pipes are still visible from the floor along the wall , it gives a really poor finish!
The walls were all left opened and extremely damaged where pipes were installed .
We found the office person we had to deal with very unpleasant on the phone .
We would not use churchfield in the future .read more

Based on my experience so far , Churchfield has been extremely helpful, very knowledgeable in the areas I inquired about. We couldn't go with Churchfield for the boiler as the builder wanted to use his own plumber and are waiting for planning permission before we can confirm if we will be doing the external insulation which is why it's so impressive that knowing this , that Churchfield's Cathal was so generous with his time and expert guidance on the proper installation of Viessmann boilers and flues. How would I know if it was expert ? Well when challenged by the builders plumber I rang Viessman directly while the plumber was there and they backed up Churchfield 100%. It's important to get flues right, you don't want to mess with carbon monoxide poisoning. Thank you Churchfield, good save !!read more
