Spray Foam Insulation

Spray foam insulation is an extremely efficient method of insulating your loft area. Up to 35% of your home heat is lost through your roof. Spray foam insulation creates a seamless barrier between the rafters, joists and areas of heat loss preventing heat from escaping and ensuring your home stays both comfortable and warm.

Spray foam insulation is recommended for those who intend to convert their attic space or use it for a living area.  Installing spray foam insulation usually takes up to half a day and the occupants can remain in the house as works are being carried out.

Installation Process:

  • All storage is removed from the attic space
  • Vent cards are applied between the rafters and the felt
  • Spray foam insulation is applied
  • Attic access is insulated (if required)
  • All waste is removed and belongings are reinstated in your attic space
  • A full audit is carried out to ensure the Churchfield high standard is met

Spray Foam Insulation Types

CPI Foam - Open Cell Spray Foam

Open Cell

Open cell spray foam insulation is made up of cells that expand and are partially open and allow water vapour to pass through. Open Cell spray foam can be used for attic and roof insulation. Churchfield install open cell spray foam insulation using the specifically designed NSAI Certified breathable Ventilation Card, complying with the latest building regulations. The ventilation card forms an air gap
between the felt and the foam to allow the timbers
in your attic to breathe.

CPI Foam - Closed Cell Spray Foam

 Closed Cell

A more rigid and compact spray foam, closed cell is typically used to insulate concrete and steel and can also be used outdoors.
